Listed Properties The work involved in the refurbishment of a residential listed property is considerably more difficult and more demanding than the refurbishment of any other property. The works need to be carried out in a sympathetic manner, taking into account the demands of the Listed Building Department, along with the requirements of Local Building Control. The photographs shown here, are of an oak timber framed building, constructed in circa 1450. The property was originally built using 'green oak', meaning that trees were cut down and immediately used for the frame of the building, a form of construction common in those days.
